Meet Coach Koran Godwin — Founder of Ball Hog Gloves

Before Ball Hog Gloves was a product, it was a promise Coach Koran Godwin made to himself on the court.

Growing up in Roselle, New Jersey, Coach Godwin didn't have shortcuts. He had reps. Thousands of them. That relentless work ethic carried him to the all-time single-season scoring record at Abraham Clark High School and an NJ All-State selection in 1998. From there, he took his game to the University at Buffalo before transferring to the University of North Florida, where he shattered the school's all-time scoring record in just two and a half years.

That kind of production doesn't go unnoticed. In 2002, Coach Godwin earned a pre-draft workout with the Orlando Magic — going head-to-head with future NBA All-Star Amar'e Stoudemire. It was the culmination of a journey built entirely on fundamentals, footwork, and an obsession with ball handling that started under the mentorship of Coach Chris Chevannes (St. Patricks now The Patrick School) when Koran was just 15 years old.

Skills Training Career

In 2003, Coach Godwin turned his playing career into a coaching career at UNF, and he never looked back. Over the past two decades, he's worked directly with players at every level — NBA, professional, college, high school, and middle school — helping athletes across the country sharpen their skills and elevate their game.

The results speak for themselves: Coach Godwin has helped his players earn more than $25 million in athletic scholarships. In 2012, his impact on the program was honored when he was inducted into the University of North Florida Hall of Fame.

More than a NIL negotiation contract, his firm specializes in business management service that include tax prep, wealth management, and branding opportunities.
